Charter A Private Boat on Mother’s Day in Orlando

For the ultimate relaxing day, how about a little island hopping on a private boat tour? We treated my parents to a trip and we all absolutely loved the experience.

If Mom loves flowers, plants and nature, you can’t go far wrong with a Mother’s Day trip to one of Central Florida’s awesome botanical and natural gardens. Explore lush backdrops of flowering foliage with sweet aromas filling the air.

Bok Tower Gardens

This 250-acre woodland setting offers a totally tranquil setting where Mom can get some real peace and quiet. Bok Tower Gardens is a designated site of the Great Florida Bird and Wildlife Trail.

• Carillon Concerts: The centerpiece of Bok Tower Gardens is the 205-foot tall Singing Tower. The tower has a 60 bell carillon with two concerts on Mother’s Day at 1pm and 3pm.
• Natural Walks & Trails: Preserve Traill offers wildlife, flowers and fauna along a 1.5 mile preservation walk. Pine Ridge Trail is a 3/4-mile walking trail through a longleaf pine/turkey oak habitat. You’ll maybe spot endangered species like gopher tortoise, eastern indigo snakes, gopher frogs and Florida mice. Not the Mickey kind. There’s a Wetland Boardwalk, Endangered Plant Garden and more.
• Hammock Hollow: Kids will love exploring Fairy House Trail, reading the stones in the Word Garden and cooling down in River Walk. (Take a change of clothes!) The 18 separate sections to Hammock Hollow will keep all ages occupied for hours.

Leu Gardens. Stroll through 50 acres of meandering pathways shaded by 200-year-old trees and discover natural and landscaped gardens and a beautiful butterfly garden.

Farmers Market:

Start the morning browsing the Celebration Farmers Market. There’s a selection of local arts and crafts, fresh produce, organic foods and fresh-baked goods.
The Farmers Markets opens at 9am and packs up around 3pm.

Grab A Bite:

Once Mom has worked up an appetite, there are lots of dining options at Celebration.

Columbia Restaurant is Florida’s oldest restaurant chain. Wonderful food and elegant surroundings.
There are lots of dining options in Celebration including Italian, Thai, Japanese, Mexican and traditional American.

Take a Stroll:

Take one of the beautiful walking trails around the lakes or explore the boardwalk through natural woodland. Lots of peace and quiet and you’ll see the natural inhabitants of Celebration. We have some walking trials on our Celebration Page.
