As you stroll down Hollywood Boulevard at Universal Studios, taking in the sights of Beverly Hills, you’d be forgiven for missing Williams of Hollywood Prop Shop.
But for theme park fans and collectors, it’s an absolute must-see.
Looking for a zombie? A skull? A Mardi Gras wreath? It’s all here, along with a multitude of other collectables. Williams of Hollywood is the perfect place to pick up that unique, one-of-a-kind souvenir or gift. Prices range from just a few dollars to thousands.
Williams of Hollywood is packed with set pieces used in park displays, retired rides and attractions and exclusive props from seasonal events. There’s also a whole range of vintage hats, purses, pictures, ornaments, pictures, prints, furniture, clothes and unusual curiosities.
And you might find an iconic piece from a movie or tv show.
Many items come complete with an information tag showcasing exactly when and where the prop was used. Other items come with little information, just confirming they are authentic Universal props. You may also notice some of the items on sale come with a Coop label on them. That’s an indication those items are not from Universal. They are provided by The Coop Antiques in Oviedo. No relation at all to Universal or the movies!
Williams of Hollywood is located on Hollywood Blvd, in the Beverly Hills area. The store is situated between The Darkroom/Betty Boop and Mel’s Drive-In. It might be small in size, but it packs a punch in content. It used to be the magic store, but the walls and corridors were knocked into one large space to make room for the enormous amount of collectibles now housed.
The stock does change and update, when we visited in March 2017 there were several items from Mardi Gras and plenty of horror props used in Halloween Horror Nights 2017. If you visit Universal Orlando regularly, be sure to pop in Williams of Hollywood to check for new merchandise.
