Orlando in April brings endless sunshine, unique events, Easter bunnies and an abundance of things to do throughout Central Florida.
Food festivals are on at Epcot, Universal, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, plus there are festivals beyond the parks too.
What’s the Weather like in Orlando in April?
Orlando in April is perfect weather. There’s no extreme conditions to contend with, just lots of sunshine, blue skies and spring is definitely in the air. With an average high of 83°F it’s time to pack shorts, T’s and flip-flops. You might need a light jacket or sweater for the occasional cooler evening.
There might be an odd rain shower too, so keep a poncho handy just in case.
What about Orlando in April for Crowds?
Although the parks are currently at limited capacity, holidays have still proved to be busy. Orlando in April brings Easter crowds and the tail end of Spring Break, which will make it busier. Crowd levels will be at peak level for Easter week. Extended hours at the parks will help.

Orlando in April: Mardi Gras at Universal
Join the biggest party in Florida for family fun, live music and delicious food. Universal Mardi Gras International Flavors of Carnival runs daily from February 3rd to April 7th 2024.
Treat your taste buds to a global food fest and sample over 70 items from all around the world.
A Big Easy bash in the streets brings brass band musicians, dancers and performers in celebration costumes.
And, of course, the fabulous Mardi Gras Parade is held on select dates with fabulous floats and countless beads.
Mardi Gras Tribute Store stocked with brand new merchandise will be open throughout the festival.
You can upgrade your experience too, with a Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience. Toss beads from a Mardi Gras float during the event’s dazzling parade and enjoy a 3-course meal at The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, NBC Sports Grill and Brew, Finnegan’s Bar and Grill or Lombard’s Seafood Grille. Orlando in April: Epcot Flower & Garden Festival
Epcot is bursting with colorful blooms throughout April in Orlando. Floating gardens, incredible topiaries, horticultural displays and tastebud temptations. Plus, the Garden Rocks Concert Series returns with a line up of headline acts.
The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is pretty awesome!

SeaWorld Seven Seas Festival
The SeaWorld Seven Seas Festival is on every weekend throughout April.
Take your taste buds on a culinary world tour. Food booths will be offering Asian, Latin, European, Polynesian and North Atlantic dishes as well as craft beers, wines and specialty cocktails.
There’s live entertainment every weekend with music from country, pop, rock and Latin artists at Bayside Stadium.
SeaWorld Seven Seas Festival is included in the regular SeaWorld admittance ticket.

Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival
Each weekend in April, food and music are the star features during the Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival. Wash it all down with over 100 fine wines, craft brews and cocktails. Plus, enjoy an array of pop, rock, Latin, country, contemporary and classic music all included in your ticket cost.
If you’re in Orlando in April, take a trip to Tampa to tantalize your taste buds.

Sunset Walk Entertainment
The Promenade at Sunset Walk is one of our favorite hang-outs and is almost on your doorstep if you are staying in one of our vacation homes.
Located just off the US-192 at Margaritaville Orlando Resort, there’s a wide range of great eateries, a selection of stores, an escape game, movie theater, game center, sling shot and lots of live entertainment. Plus, weekly car & truck shows, artisan markets and regular events.
There’s ample free parking and free entry for everyone.

- Show Car Saturday Nights – 4-8pm – Every Saturday, vintage cars from 1987 or earlier line up to share the love for these classic beauties. There’s a live DJ and party atmosphere too, followed by live music.

- Autism Awareness Car & Truck Show – April 13th 2024 – 3pm to 8pm – Classic cars and trucks collectors from all eras showcase their vehicles. DJ Don pumps out classic rock music.
- Sunset Live Nightly – Head to Promenade Plaza Stage for regional and local bands and artists – times vary – check calendar of events.
- Promenade Plaza Thursdays – from 6pm – Featuring the best art and décor vendors from across Central Florida, plus live music.
- Fired-Up Fridays – from 5pm – Car & Truck Show with all makes and models, plus live DJ and live bands
- Dockside Duelling Pianos – at The Wharf every Friday night

Fiesta in The Park
The Fiesta In The Park is one of Orlando’s biggest arts and crafts events. It features over 600 artists and crafters displaying their original works which are also on sale.
And if that is not enough to occupy you and the family, live entertainment, a children’s play area and food vendors are also in attendance.
The lovely Lake Eola Park is the venue for this free event.

Celebration Exotic Car Festival
The Celebration Exotic Car Festival is part of a five-day event starts in Celebration then finishes with track days in Daytona. The Town of Celebration plays host to what is described as “One of the 5 Best Exotic Car Shows in the World.”
Take your camera and feast your eyes on stunning beauty on four wheels on April 1st during the car show from 9am to 4pm. On Sunday April 2nd, the cars go out onto the streets for a rally to end all rallies.
On April 3rd the event moves to Daytona.
The event is 100% volunteer and 100% non-profit with proceeds going to children’s charities, including Make-a-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics and Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital. Admission is free.

Sun ‘N Fun International Fly-In Expo
If a combination of aircraft and extreme excitement is your thing, then head over to Lakeland for displays to take your breath away. Both old and new aircraft will perform to the edge of their limits to keep you on your toes as you whoop and holler in amazement.
The Florida Air Museum and a car show are also on show. Ticket prices vary but there’s so much on offer, you really need to check it out for yourselves.
This is the largest air show in the Southern USA attracting over 200,000 people.

Disney Dapper Days
Dapper Days is an organization that celebrates refined style from yesterday. They organize social events at various locations including Disney parks.

Central Florida Earth Day
Held at Lake Eola Park (east side), the Central Florida Earth Day celebration educates on how to save the planet in a fun environment. This dog-friendly, alcohol-free, smoke-free vegan event features guest speakers, live music and family activities.

Winter Park Paint Out
Twenty-four professionally-acclaimed plein air artists will paint at the Polasek Museum and at other locations throughout Winter Park and Orlando. Art lovers are invited to watch the artists at work and attend free painting demonstrations. Works will be on display as soon as they are completed and dropped off at the museum’s wet room. ALL artwork created during the week will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Museum. Stop by to see and purchase works produced during this year’s Winter Park Paint Out!

Mount Dora Blueberry Festival
The beautiful little town of Mount Dora plays host to this delicious annual festival. It pays homage to the small but significant blueberry. These tasty little blue fruits are everywhere, in the pancake breakfast, hot pies and even alcoholic drinks.
Live music keeps the atmosphere lively and more than 100 vendors are more than happy to serve you and your family. The kids’ events will keep the little ones happy. Dare I say, they won’t be feeling blue?
