Rivers of Light first showing: February 17th 2017
Rivers of Light is a water and light night-time spectacular at Animal Kingdom. We’ve been teased with launch dates since April 2016, it’s been a long wait!
With a dazzling array of water, light and sound, this colorful show will celebrate all living things.
Watch as fireflies lead a procession of bright lanterns across the water’s surface. Then a single chime indicates a moment of silence before storytellers using Asian dance, music, song and shadow puppetry take you on a journey. Join them as lantern lights morph into animal spirits of the Tiger, Turtle and Elephant.
Water, light and animal imagery combine in a musical extravaganza that transports the viewers from the Asian jungles to the Savannas of Africa and finally the mountains of North America.
Discovery River is the canvas for this showcase of light, song and dance.
Rivers of Light Dinner Packages
Dining packages are available to book and include premium reserved show seating with dining at Tiffins or Tusker House Restaurant.
Tusker House Restaurant offers an African buffet and the package is available for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Tiffins offers lunch or dinner with a globetrotting menu from around the world.
Rivers of Light is just one of the many evening offerings at Animal Kingdom. Discovery Island Carnivale kicks off as the afternoon light starts to fade. The Carnivale celebrates the end of the day and the beginning of the night. Inspired by living creatures of the air, land and sea, this colorful explosion of dance and music will have everyone on their feet.
The Tree of Live Awakenings sees the iconic Tree of Life come alive with animal spirits in a short show of color, light and special effects. Tree of Life Awakenings happen every 10 minutes after dark, until the park closes.
