Kissimmee & Orlando in September 2023: Is September a good time to visit Orlando? You bet! September is one of our favorite months of the year. The humidity has dropped, the weather is still gloriously warm without being an inferno and it’s foodie heaven too. And Halloween starts early! What’s not to love?

Orlando in September is also one of the tastiest month to visit – there’s plenty of food festivals and events including Magical Dining Month and Epcot Food & Wine Festival.

And we all know calories don’t count on vacation, right?

What’s The Weather Like in Orlando in September?

The fierce summer heat is cools a little as the month goes on and the humidity levels start to fade away. The average high in September is around 90F/32C and the average low is around 73F/23C. You can expect around 12 hours of sunshine a day.

It is still rainy season though, so do keep those rain ponchos handy! We can get around 15 days of rain in September.

What Are Crowds Like in September in Orlando?

With most kids being back at school, the high crowds of summer are more or less gone. September used to be a great month for exceptionally low crowds. It’s still low season, but it has been a little busier in recent years with so many new attractions to experience.

Lines will be manageable most of September and the parks will be a lot less crowded than the summer months.

What To Pack for September in Orlando

With hot sunny nights and warm evenings, you’ll want to pack that light weight summer clothing and comfortable summer footwear.

A light rainproof jacket would be good too. And keep a poncho or umbrella handy for summer bursts of rain.

Make sure you cover up with plenty of sunscreen, the UV rays are still fierce in September.
