Orlando Halloween events offer a jaw-dropping array of tricks, treats and terrors. With over two months of funtastic frights for all ages, Central Florida truly is the Halloween Vacation Capital of the nation.

From kid-friendly treats to terrifying tricks, there’s nowhere quite like Orlando for Halloween, so come and enjoy the extended scare-fest with us.

While the rest of the nation waits for October for spooky season, Halloween in Orlando begins in August! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off scary season on August 12th. September sees most other Halloween events starting and October has something every day and night to offer all ages.

Orlando Halloween Horror Nights – Universal Studios

Select Nights from September 1st 2023

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is Orlando’s premier Halloween event. Now in its 32nd year, HHN32 starts on September 1st and runs on 44 select nights through October 31st 2023.

With terrifying Haunted Houses, Scare Zones and roaming hoards, Universal gathers together the baddest of meanest for Halloween. There’s no place to hide, make sure you have a scare buddy to share the screams with.

There’s also live shows, spooky food and exclusive merchandise. You’re in for a night of terror and treats at Halloween Horror Nights.

Howl-O-Scream Busch Gardens Tampa

One of our favorite Halloween events is Howl-0-Scream at Busch Gardens – haunted houses, roaming hordes and rollercoasters in the dark.

The haunted houses are well organized with a “pulse” entrance. It means you don’t always see where the person in front of you gets a fright.

Is Howl-O-Scream suitable for children? No, it’s aimed at adults. Busch Gardens say: “Howl-O-Scream contains intense adult content such as violence, gore and blood and is not intended for children”.

Howl-O-Scream SeaWorld Orlando

Select nights from September 8th 2023

Howl-O-Scream is returning to SeaWorld Orlando for the 2023 spooky season. Visitors will experience full on fear for select nights from September 8th to October 31st.

There will be terrifying haunted houses, a live show, scare zones to navigate and roaming hoardes to hide from.

Howl-O-Scream includes intense adult content such as violence, gore, and blood and is aimed at mature audiences. (For the littles, Spooktacular will be held during the day on weekends – see below for more info).

Orlando Halloween: Petrified Forest – Storytime & Slayhouse

Select Nights from September 29th – October 28th 2023

Orlando Halloween events include A Petrified Forest, bringing you three all new scare trails for a 2023 season full of screams.

Petrified Forest is rated a PG13. Children under 18 must have a parents signature. The event is not recommended for children under 13, but those that do attend must be accompanied by an adult.

Orlando Halloween Events: Scream-A-Geddon

Select nights from September 8th 2023

For terrors and trembles, Scream-A-Geddon in Dade City brings you 6 terrifying attractions to choose from:

  • Breach
  • Rage 3D
  • Ravenhill Assylum
  • Bloodwater Bayou
  • Zombie Paintball Assault
  • Demon’s Revenge

Advance ticket prices range from $27.95 to $52.95. Tickets give you access to all attractions excluding Zombie Paintball Assault, which are available separately. Tickets are $5 more at the box office.

Two upgrades are available:

  • VIP Fast Pass enables you to skip the General Admission line plus use the Fast Pass lane once per attraction.
  • Super VIP Fast Pass includes unlimited no wait with a tour guide, plus a $20 gift shop apparel credit.

None of the upgrade tickets include Zombie, Paintball Assault, which starts at $12.95.

After your scream fest, you can head over to Bonzo’s Beer Garden for a selection of local craft beers. Or head to Monster Midway for games and drinks and a new food court.

There’s always lots of free parking around Downtown Winter Garden plus a three-level parking garage (160 S. Boyd St.) and a 117-space parking lot (37 N. Boyd St.).


Vampirates at Pirate’s Dinner Adventure

Vampirates are taking over Treasure Bay at Pirate’s Dinner Adventure on select nights from September 19th through October 31st 2023.

Vampirates: When the Blood Moon Rises is a Halloween-themed dinner show perfect for ghosts and ghouls of all ages.

As the Blood Moon casts an eerie glow over the high seas, the notorious Captain Sebastian the Black and his pirate crew of vampires are in search of the Sulzana’s Eye, a cursed necklace that will allow them to live in the daylight. And only you can stop them before the necklace falls into the wrong hands! Embark on a spooktacular journey filled with aerial artistry, swordplay, death-defying stunts and dynamic duels.

There’s also Trick R Treat Trail and the whole family is encouraged to dress up for Halloween.

This might just be one of the wildest Orlando Halloween events you’ll visit! This not-too-scary event is perfect for the young and old alike. Kids are invited to bring goody bags and wear costumes for trick or treat stations. There’s even a face painter for those feeling a little under-dressed.

Trunk or Treat at The Promenade at Sunset Walk

The Promenade at Sunset Walk’s October Car and Truck Show hosts an Annual Trunk or Treat Car and Truck Show on October 28th, from 4pm through 8pm.

To celebrate, drivers are encouraged to decorate their vehicles for a spooktacular stroll while drivers give out wrapped candy to all the little ghouls and goblins walking the streets of The Promenade.

Live music, street performers, over 2 dozen candy locations, 24 unique restaurants and shops. Free admission and parking.
Kiddos to come dressed in costume and be ready to Trunk or Treat.

Old Town Halloween

Enjoy a spooky night of Halloween fun at Old Town Kissimmee. The spookiest of holiday celebrations features free trick-or-treating, Thriller Dancers, and a Costume Contest.

Spooky Spectacle: Halloween at the Museum of Illusions Orlando

Museum of Illusions at Icon Park is hosting an array of Halloween themed events:

  • Halloween-themed Illusion Installations: specially created Halloween themed rooms inspired by classic horrors and motifs.
  • Trick-or-Treat Illusion Hunt: Discover treats around every corner as you discover the museum’s spooky corridors. During October weekends, solve puzzles and decode illusions to unlock hidden candy treasures.
  • Bark-O-Ween Bash: Spooktacular Puppy Pawty: Friday, October 13 from 6 to 8 p.m., the museum will be hosting a puppy party with dog-friendly treats, tons of adorable photo ops and a costume contest with a prize of $150 for the winning pup and their owner. Tickets will be $29.99 and include admission for the owner and their pet.
  • A Haunting Halloween Soiree: Saturday, October 28th – This exclusive event features a cash bar, photo ops with the Halloween-themed illusions and more spooky surprises. Dress up in your spookiest, most mind-bending costume to compete in the illusion-themed costume contest. Prizes await the most creative and mesmerizing disguises.

Orlando Halloween: The Haunted Road

Embark in your own vehicle on a 25 minute drive down The Haunted Road and discover mysterious flesh craving beastly ghouls. Then take a walk through the Human Slaughterhouse.
