Speeding into Disney’s Hollywood Studios on March 31st 2019 is Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.
In this high-octane first-of-its-kind new show, you’ll enter the world of Cars and be face to face with racing legend Lightning McQueen. With help from friends Mater and Cruz Ramirez, McQueen will showcase some of what he’s learned over the years with guests – the next generation of rookie racers.
Of course, this is Lightning McQueen, so a few twists and turns are to be expected on the road ahead.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will be located near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Late fall 2019 is lift-off for the new 14-acre Star Wars land. You’ll be able to live your own Star Wars adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
Explore Black Spire Outpost, the largest settlement on the remote planet Batuu. Meet characters old and new. Experience sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the Outer Rim and Wild Space.
Two thrilling new attractions will be in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You’ll take the controls in one of three unique and critical roles aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Pilot the fastest ship in the galaxy, firing laser cannons and steering the starship through deep space.
On Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance join an epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance – including a face-off with Kylo Ren.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Imagineers have been hard at work creating Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, using breakthrough technology to transform a two-dimensional cartoon into an amazing real-world multi-dimensional experience.
The first ride-through attraction themed to Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will feature a new original story and lovable theme song. Journey inside the wacky and unpredictable world of Disney Channel’s Emmy Award-winning Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts.
Wonderful World of Animation
The Wonderful World of Animation is an all-new cinematic nighttime experience coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 1st 2019. All part of the 30th Anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The show will use state-of-the-art technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey.
