Get set to travel to infinity and beyond. The long awaited, much anticipated Toy Story Land opened at Hollywood Studios on June 30th 2018.
Toy Story Land is inspired by Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story movies. It’s a rootin’ tootin’ fun-filled adventure into the wildly vivid imagination of Andy, the films lovable human character.
Andy has spread all his toys out in his backyard to create the bestest, coolest ever toy packed playground. You’ll get to experience the joy of being a toy as you shrink in size upon entering Andy’s backyard.
Toy Story Land features 2 new rides, an expanded family favorite, character encounters and a delicious new eating place. Toppled bricks, board game pieces, green army men, Rubik’s cube, Cooties and crayons thrill kids and fill grown ups with childhood memories.
A giant 20 foot tall Woody greets you as you enter this land of nostalgia. He’s tipping his hat which is 7 foot wide brim to brim, while standing next to a 4 foot yo-yo.
Toy Story Land Rides
Slinky Dog Dash
After careful design and hand drawn plans, Andy has assembled his Mega Coaster Play Kit to create a brightly colored, super-fun family coaster. He’s popped his slinky dog on the rails so visitors can ride in the coils. The tracks twist, turn and coil to create tummy turning drops as riders soar through Toy Story Land.
Jessie is perched on building blocks and Rex is teetering on top of a Jenga block as they hang a festive string of lights across the Slinky Dog Dash ride.
This family friendly coaster has a height restriction of 38 inches.
At the end of the Slinky Dog Dash ride, you’ll be serenaded by Wheezy, the lovable penguin we met in Toy Story 2. With the help of Mike the tape recorder and Mr Spell who texts humorous commentary.
Alien Swirling Saucers
If you’ve seen the movies, you’ll remember Andy winning the galactic play set at Pizza Planet Restaurant. He’s used that prize to create an out-of-this-world ride that takes visitors on an intergalactic spin.
The cutest aliens in the galaxy zoom about in flying saucers towing visitors in toy rocket ships on a wild ride through space. There’s a pumping intergalactic beat to accompany the trip while The Claw hangs overhead. Will you be the chosen one?
Height Restriction for Alien Swirling Saucers is 32 inches.
Toy Story Mania
It was only natural this hugely popular attraction would become part of Toy Story Land. Toy Story Mania been a guest favorite since it opened way back in 2008. A third track has recently been added and the box the toy came in has created a brand new carnival game entrance in Toy Story Land.
You’ll climb aboard carnival ride trams and travel a virtual midway of five animated 4D carnival games. Toy Story characters cheer you on along the way as you take aim with pies and hard-boiled eggs in Game 1: Hamm & Eggs.
The second game uses darts to pop balloons in Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts.
In Game 3 you’ll toss baseballs to break plates in Green Army Men Shoot Camp.
In Game 4, Buzz Lightyear is right there as you take aim to toss rings onto the heads of green army men in Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers.
Finally, in Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery you’ll be aiming suction darts at mine-cart targets.
Keep your aim steady, you’ll be competing with the rider next to you to see who wins bragging rights to the highest score at the end of the game.
Toy Story Land Character Meet & Greets
Meet up with lovable characters from the Toy Story movies. Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl greet guests throughout the day at Toy Story Land.
Sarge and the Green Army Man Drum Corps march through Toy Story Land several times a day. They stop and play “Sarge Says” and other games involving giant crayons and a Pixar ball. You’ll also get the chance to join in the interactive boot camp to see if you have what it takes to become an official recruit in Andy’s Backyard.
Toy Story Land Eats and Treats
Being a honary toy is sure to work up a larger than life appetite. But Andy has you covered. He’s turned his lunch box it on its’ side, propped up the lid with his thermos and created Woody’s Lunch Box. This walk-up, quick service window offers a mighty fine place to taste some Toy Story Land treats.
So what’s in Woody’s Lunch Box? Oh my, you’re in for a treat! Did someone say S’more French Toast Breakfast Sandwich? Say Whhhaaaat? Oozy goodness in a chocolate ganache and marshmallow-stuffed French toast, topped with graham cracker crumbles.
Is that a bit too much of a sugar rush? How about the nod to Texas? The BBQ Brisket Melt is a Texas-style smoked brisket on garlic butter-grilled sourdough and layered with cheddar, Monterey Jack, pickles and BBQ sauce.
How about Totchos? Potato barrels and corn chips topped with chili and cheese. Hmmm, Hmmm, Hmmm.

The 11 acre site is just a small part of efforts to revamp Hollywood Studios. Toy Story Land follows the total immersion that Pandora: World of Avatar features so expertly. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open in 2019.
