Incredible Hulk Coaster fans will be thrilled to see the latest developments of this long awaited re-launch. Details, a video and images were revealed by Universal Orlando’s official blog.
Universal are promising an entirely new journey, new ride and new experience when the Incredible Hulk Coaster launches.
The Universal Blog says “The only things you’ll recognize when the Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure reopens in late summer are the world-famous twists and turns of the ride track.”
The new enhancements and features will make riders feel fully immersed throughout the high tec-ride.
New Incredible Hulk Coaster Entrance
A brand new marquee will greet guests as they enter. Guests will walk underneath a towering figure of The Hulk as he bares the weight of the tracks above him.
Gregory Hall, attraction designer, said “The arching tracks actually came from the original Hulk attraction, and we saved those so that a piece of the old attraction will live forever.”
New Incredible Hulk Coaster Storyline
The Universal Official Blog tell us the storyline has General Thaddeus Ross on the lookout for volunteers to take part in a new experiment.
Guests will enter through a state of the art military research compound where experiments are taking place.
Volunteers will be subjected to a process called Hulk-a-fiction, which gives high levels of gamma radiation. This life altering process was originally invented by Dr Bruce Banner. The gamma accelerator blasts guests with superhuman powers and energy as they prepare for the ride of their lives.
Once aboard the super sleek ride vehicles, riders will experience in-seat audio booming out an original score created by Fall Out Boy front man, Patrick Stump.
The Incredible Hulk Coaster has been closed for several months for the transformation. It opened originally in 1999 and has been a favorite of thrill seekers ever since.
A unique launch system propels riders along a 110 foot hill accelerating to 40mph in 2 seconds. The 3700 foot long ride reaches a top speed to 67mph and features 7 inversions during the ride.
