Rides at Pandora: World of Avatar

Avatar Flight of Passage

Height Restriction: Riders must be at least 44 inches tall.

Start your journey of this mysterious jungle moon with a truly enchanting experience: Flying on a Mountain Banshee. With two pre-shows and bonding/boarding, the line is immersive enough.

Avatar Flight of Passage is currently one of the most sought after attractions. And will be for some time to come. Lines are super long and FastPasses hard to come by. If you don’t manage to get a FastPass, make sure you get there at least 45 minutes before Animal Kingdom opens to avoid waiting in line for hours. Lines of 2+ hours are not uncommon by 9.30am. Make sure you avoid Extra Magic Hours, when Disney hotel guests have access prior to park opening hours.

Or hang around until later at night when lines should be shorter.

Mountain Banshees are one of the most significant animals to the natives of Pandora, and flying on a banshee requires a bonding process that is an important aspect of the Na’vi culture. With a banshee breathing beneath you, you’ll get breathtaking 3D views of this unimaginable landscape, dipping under floating mountains and swooping through timeworn arches of stone, complete with wind and ocean spray.

So what are Mountain Banshees?
Mountain banshees are winged creatures that reside in the mountain regions of Pandora, including Hallelujah Mountains. Highly adapted for flight, these creatures resemble both reptiles and birds, with a leathery skin, large forewings and smaller hind wings. The complex structure of the mountain banshee enables them to fly with great dexterity, maneuvering quickly and diving at speeds up to 140 knots.

Xenobiologists are fascinated by the aerodynamics of the banshee and you will be too.

Na’vi River Journey

Height Restriction: None

The whole family can explore the colorful Na’vi river. The Na’vi River Journey takes you on a reed boat down the Kaspavan River.

Captivating bioluminescent plants light up the darkness and exotic animals roam the banks.

The boat ride meanders gently through a series of caves in search of the mystical Na’vi Shaman of Songs. The Shaman has a special connection with nature and creates positive energy in Pandora with her beautiful music.
