Do you wanna build a snowman? The Sunshine State has it’s very own winter wonderland. We’re more used to getting ‘Snope’ in Florida, the fun fake snow that falls around the Holidays. But seasonally, we can get us some REAL snow at Snowcat Ridge.
It might be safely tucked away from the dangers of melting in the Florida sun in a giant snow dome, but it’s real snow all the same.
It is open every winter. This year open dates are from November 22 2024 to March 2 2025. It’s not open every day, so do check the calendar before you go.
Snowcat Ridge is the first and only snow park of its kind in Florida. Located in Dade City, just over an hour away from the theme park area of Orlando.
Snowy Slopes at Snowcat Ridge
The star attraction of Snowcat Ridge is a 60 foot tall, 400 foot long snow tubing hill. You can plummet down the snow-covered slopes on single tubes, in tandem or on 10-person group tubes.
And you won’t even have to worry about trudging all the way back up. A ‘magic carpet’ will raise riders and their tubes to the very top of the ridge.
After sunset, Snowy Slopes also features music and a magical light show. You can view the show from the comfort of Alpine Village if you’ve finished on the slopes.
2 hours on Snowy Slopes is included in your Snowcat Ridge ticket.
Ice Skating at Crystal Ribbon
Lace up your ice skates and enjoy some icy fun on this skating ribbon with a beginners oval. By day you’ll be skating under the Florida sun, by night you’ll be skating under the stars with a light and music show.
Admission to Crystal Ribbon is included in regular tickets, but skate rental is not included. You can rent stakes from Snowcat Ridge or bring your own.
BBQ chicken pizza and New York style pizza, sold by the slice or by the entire pie, are available at Slices & Co located at Crystal Ribbon. Refreshers offers a range of beverages.
Florida’s Only Arctic Igloo
Snowcat Ridge offers a 10,000 square foot giant snow dome with real falling snow. Build a real snowman and snow castles.
Arctic Igloo also features a smaller bunny slope for kids under 42 inches to enjoy. It has been specifically designed for guests aged 3 and under.
Eskimo Outpost
Eskimo Outpost is 8 igloos, each holding up to 25 guests, available for rental for private events. The private 500 square foot igloos indoor and outdoor have seating and are ideal for parties, gatherings or family get togethers. There’s a private roasting pit for s’mores and bottled water for all guests. Beer, wine and beverages can also be purchased from Refreshers located at Eskimo Outpost.
Private igloo rentals starts at $174 for 2 hours, plus general admission tickets for all guests aged 2 and over. Book online for Eskimo Outposts.

Alpine Village at Snowcat Ridge
Pop into the Alpine Village for some après activities. Sit by an open fire, surrounded by fir trees, sipping hot cocoa or roasting s’mores.
The viewing area in Alpine Village offers views of the slopes to enjoy during the day, or you can catch Snowy Slopes music and light show in the evening.
Alpine Village features a selection of food trucks offering hot and cold food and beverages. The Food Court includes:
- Oh My Grill: Gourmet burgers, pulled pork, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, and french fries
- Wild Pines Pizza: New York style pizzas
- Vato’s Tacos & Wings: Tacos, nachos, quesadilla, and churro
- Sunkissed Sweets: S’mores campfire funnel cake fries, soft serve ice cream and s’mores kits
- Decadent Drinks: Deluxe hot chocolate, Kahwa coffee, flavored lattes, brewed tea, and cold beverages
- Biergarten: Rotating assortment of craft beer, including seasonal brews.
There’s a Snowcat Dining Plan that enables you to bundle food, beverages and tickets.
Plus, there’s a Holiday Market featuring arts and crafts.
General admission tickets to Snowcat Ridge include all day access to Alpine Village.
Snowcat Ridge Tickets
Tickets are date dependent and range from $24.95 to $39.95 if purchased online in advance. $5 extra at the gate. Children 2 and under are free. Your ticket covers you for a two hour tubing session and all day access to Arctic Igloo and Alpine Village.
