If you’re frazzled by the crowds at the major parks, take time to explore a little more of the many things on in December around Orlando and Central Florida.
Last Chance to See Beetlejuice at Universal Studios
UPDATE: This long time show was due to end on December 3rd to make way for new attraction Fast and Furious: Supercharged.
Due to popular demand, that date has now been extended to January 5th 2016.
This rocking monster music and dance show has been running since 1992.
There will also be one final additional show for passholders at 5.15pm on January 5th. This is open to the first 1000 who register from 9am onwards on January 4th. 1 ticket per annual pass and the passholder must be present to collect. Annual Passholders can register at Studio Audience Center, located next to Universal Studios Florida’s Guest Services.
Wine & Chocolate Festival
Lakeridge Winery are holding their 5th annual Wine & Chocolate Festival on December 12th and 13th. Local artists and crafters will be showcasing unique Holiday gifts. There’ll be live music on the outdoor stage, food and of course chocolate and wine.

A Celebration of Voices
Celebration Florida is a great place to visit over the Holidays. Lots going on including A Celebration of Voices – December 5th starring Noah Schnacky between 6.15 to 7pm and Lucy Iris from 7.15pm to 9.30pm

Countdown to Christmas
Another great event in the Town of Celebration. This concert is in addition to the nightly snowing and other events and admission is free. “The Official Stand Up Tour 2015” was started by a group of musicians to spread the word of community spirit and acceptance.

Christmas Events in Mount Dora
If you really want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks, Mount Dora is a world away. A peaceful and quaint town, Mount Dora offers traditional family events in the run up the Holidays.

Space Coast Light Fest
This drive-thru event attracts over 15,000 cars. Take a leisurely 1 mile drive through thousands of shimmering lights and animated Holiday displays.

Daytona Beach Christmas Boat Parade
See local boats parade the waterways adorned in Holiday finery. Viewing locations are all along the Halifax River. For a great spot try the fishing pier at Halifax River Marina or along the dockside of the Chart House Restaurant
Where: Starts at Sea Breeze Bridge, Daytona at 5.30pm and heads south to Halifax River Yacht Club

Nutcracker Orlando
The Orlando Ballet brings its annual Holiday presentation of The Nutcracker at Dr Phillips.

Radio Disney Holiday Concert 2015
Join AM 990 Radio Disney for a free Holiday concert with nightly snowing, music and fun for the whole family.
When: December 19th from 7pm

Florida Citrus Parade
This hugely popular annual event takes place on December 30th in Downtown Orlando and features floats made from over 100,000 oranges, grapefruit and tangerines. The event attracts over 60,000 spectators and is televised across the USA. Get a spot early!
Viewing is available all along the parade route. The parade begins on Orange Avenue and Robinson Street and continues south on Orange Avenue, east on Anderson Street, then north on Rosalind Avenue. The parade concludes at Rosalind Avenue and Robinson Street. The route is 1.4 miles in length and takes 90-120 minutes to complete.
