Hogwarts Express – joining London’s Kings Cross Station and Hogsmeade Village

The Two Harry Potter Worlds at Islands of Adventure and Universal Orlando are  joined by a thoroughly entertaining train ride on the famous Hogwarts Express.

You can walk to each Harry Potter section, but they are just about as far apart as they can get so the train just makes sense. And it’s much more fun!

You’ll need a park-to-park ticket to board though.

The iconic platform at Kings Cross Station

This is the first time Muggles have ever been given the right of passage to travel on the iconic steam train, so make the most of the sights as you walk along the platform and pass through the wall at the famous Platform 9 3/4  to begin your journey.

Make sure you watch the people in line ahead of you – a clever mirror trick will make it look like they walk right through the wall as they transcend from the land of the muggle to the world of the wizard. Listen out for the Whoosh as they pass through and disappear beyond.

Hogsmeade Station at Universal Orlando

Once on board, make yourself comfortable, sit back and enjoy your trip.

You’ll journey between London’s Kings Cross Station and the picturesque Hogsmeade Village passing through the streets of London and the beautiful English and Scottish countryside.

Climb aboard the Hogwarts Express

It’s a different experience each way, so don’t be shy of riding it twice. A few of the movies characters will join you along your way, so you’ll be in good company. Or maybe not as one or two more sinister characters might be floating past your carriage window.

Be sure to look behind you when you hear voices, you just never know who might be walking along the corridor outside your carriage.
